Join us in Palm Springs Oct 8-11

Updated: Sep 16, 2021

As MOCA+ leads the way for brands to connect with the heritage of desert modernism, once again we have crafted an unforgettable Weekend of Architecture and Design in Palm Springs October 8-11, 2021. Sponsored by the Swiss Consulate General in San Francisco and USModernist radio, the three-day program of parties, films, tours, and lectures will honor the legacy of Albert Frey, father of Desert Modernism.

We began celebrating Albert Frey earlier this year with special events when, with Palm Springs Art Museum, we announced that a comprehensive exhibition on the arc of Frey’s career would commence in 2022. We were able to begin that exploration just as the museum reopened on Apr 15, 2021 after being closed due to COVID. We were grateful on so many levels and proceeded with everyone’s safety in mind.

The enthusiasm and relief were palpable on that May weekend and we immediately began planning the next experience. Highlights include new films by documentary filmmakers Eric Bricker and Jake Gorst, a tour of the iconic Frey House II, and a keynote from Yves Béhar, founder of Fuseproject and author of Designing Ideas. A limited number of VIP tickets will include an intimate dinner at the enchanting Kirk Douglas Estate, designed in 1954 by Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison.

Find the full agenda on the Palm Springs Art Museum website, and buy a ticket before they're sold out.

October brings some of the best weather of the year to Palm Springs, and we hope it will bring you, too. Our team will be there to greet you and usher you through a memorable weekend.
